The teams of John Sawin and Tug Maude and Jaden Dumdumaya and Charles White are headed to the 2024 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at Philadelphia Cricket Club.

The two teams advanced thru Wednesday's 18-hole qualifier, with Sawin and Maude coming in as medalists with a score of 6-under 65. Sawin is the Vice-President and Director of Golf for the Pebble Beach Company.

Dumdumaya and White advanced after defeating Alex Wrenn and Austin Long on the fourth hole of a playoff after both teams came in at 66. Wrenn and Long will be first alternates.

Dumdumaya was the Junior Tour of Northern California Player of the Year in both 2021 and 2023. He and current PGA Tour member Justin Suh are the only multiple Boys' JTNC Players of the Year.

Next fall, Dumdumaya will begin playing at USC, which is where Suh attended college. While at USC, Suh was the No.1 ranked amateur in the world.

White formerly was a baseball player, going as far as making it to a Double A squad for the San Diego Padres.

Next year's U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship will tee off May 25-29 at Philadelphia Cricket Club.
