Junior Golf Tour of Northern California Crowns Winners at Fall Series V Championship at Bay View Golf Club in Milpitas

 PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (September 19, 2022) –The 2022-2023 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) crowned champions Sunday at the Fall Series V Championship at Bay View Golf Club in Milpitas.

Trenton Stuart shot 1-over par 145 and defeated Jaden Dumdumaya and Cathy Zhang shot 5-over par 149 to win their respective divisions at the Fall Series V Championship at par-72 Bay View GC.

Prior to holding off Dumdumaya in the playoff, Stuart had made a big move with a final round score of 71 that included six birdies. Over his 36 holes, Stuart posted 10 birdies to earn his first win of the 2022-23 season. He’d play his final six holes at 2-under par to get into the playoff.

Dumdumaya, who was looking for his 12th JTNC win, had opened with a sizzling 69 but cooled off to a 76 on Sunday. The 69 included four birdies and an eagle.

Third place went to Cole Kroeker at 147 after a final round 72. Hartej Grewal was fourth at 149, with Ben Friedman coming in fifth at 150.

In the Girls’ Championship, Zhang won her second straight event thanks in part to a solid first round 72 that featured two birdies and 14 pars. On Sunday, Zhang had a 77 that included a birdie on No.15 that helped her hold off runner-up Alaythia Hinds by a shot.

Hinds had a second round 73 to come in at 150. She’d play her final five holes at 1-under to nearly catch Zhang.

Madalyn Lee and Lily Peng finished tied for third at 153 after final rounds of 74 and 77, respectively. Lee was awarded third place in a card-off.

Elizabeth Hang and Addison Claire Lee tied for fifth at 154.

In the Boys’ First Flight Championship, Agilan Ramakrishnan shot a final round 80 to come in at 156 and defeated runner-up Winston Pan in a card-off to win the title. Pan had a second round 81.

Third place was a tie at 161 between Jason Lee and Abhi Patel. Lee won the card-off and was awarded third place. Manuel Sarabia placed fifth at 164.

In the Girls’ First Flight Championship, Victoria Cui shot a final round 74 to come in at 148 and defeat runner-up Cynthia Liu by 16 shots. Liu had a final round 87.

Third place went to Isabella Bautista at 170, while Hayley Fong was fourth at 173. Jaylyn Remolena took fifth at 177.

The next event on the JTNC calendar is the Fall Series VI Championship, to be held Sept. 24-25 at Coyote Creek Golf Club in San Jose.
