Dumdumaya’s dominant performance over the recent weeks makes it back-to-back wins on the JTNC, previously winning the Spring Series VIII Championship at Rooster Run Golf Club. Dumdumaya grabs his fourth 1st place medal of the 2022-23 season thanks to a bogey-free round on Saturday, leaving the scoring table where he carded a 6-under 66. A day later he went on another impressive run where he shot a 5-under 67, in the end Jaden would beat the next best in line by six strokes after posting 11-birdies, one eagle, and two bogeys over the 36-hole event. Dumdumaya eventually held off runner-up Theo Anderson by quite some margin, with Anderson posting rounds of 73-66 to finish at 139.

With first place out of reach for most of the field, the battle for the two remaining medal spots was on. Theo Anderson made a statement after finishing the first-round 1-over par, storming back on day two firing off a 6-under 66 that saw him card eight birdies to secure his runners-up medal. Third place was a tight battle between a handful of competitors, ultimately leading to Nick Savano snatching up the final spot at the winner’s podium. Savano shot a 73-67 140, this is Savano’s fourth medal spot in previous six JTNC tournament appearances.

Fourth place ended in a tie between Ben Friedman and Jesse Verheul, both finishing at 3-under par 141.

In the Girls’ Championship, Singh won her second event of the 2022-23 season, thanks in part to both of her under-par rounds where she finished at 9-under par 135. In Saturday’s opener, Singh shot a bogey free round of 3-under 69 that had three birdies on her final eight holes. Sunday’s round Singh carded only pars and birdies, leaving no room for even a thought at making bogey. Her 36-hole weekend was a spectacle to see for any golf fan as she capped it off by playing mistake free golf. She’d hold off runner-up Lily Peng by four shots and cruise to a comfortable win, this now bring Singh up to fourth place in the JTNC 2022-2023 Player of the Year Rankings.

Peng had rounds of 69-70 to come in at 139 to earn her silver medal. Third place went to Cathy Zhang after she won via a card-off vs JTNC all-star Asterisk Talley, Zhang gained the advantage over Talley by scoring a lower second round back-nine score of 34. Zhang finished at 4-under par 140. Fourth place was awarded to Asterisk Talley, who had nine birdies on the weekend, after an unsuccessful card-off versus Zhang.

In the Boys’ First Flight Championship, a three-way tie for first place had to be settled between Inho Park, Lawrence Collins, and Daniel Dong who were all tied a 1-over par 145. Inho Park came out victorious as the first tiebreaker would be the lowest second round score, where Park carded a 1-under 71 that included three birdies.

Second place was awarded to Lawrence Collins after his second round back nine total of 36 was enough to see out Daniel Dong’s score of 37. Dong was ultimately awarded third place for the Boys First Flight; Daniel did not go down without a fight as he carded five birdies of the two days.

Fourth place went to Allison Chan at 157. Elli Gianelli and Melody Chen tied for fifth place at 161.
