The Challenge Cup will be staying in Southern California.
The PGA Junior Southern California defeated the Junior Tour of Northern California, 8-4 in Sunday's Singles play to emerge with a 15.5-8.5 victory at Poppy Hills. The SoCal crew now leads in the overall Cup series, 4-3.
Winners in Singles for SoCal were Matt Robles (3 and 2), Hogan Park (4 and 3), Ryan Abuan (4 and 2), Conner Williams (2 and 1), Kylie Chong (5 and 4), Jasmine Koo (6 and ) and Nikki Oh (1-up).
JTNC winners in Singles were Edan Cui (6 and 4), Asterisk Talley (5 and 4) and Ben Friedman, who won 8 and 7.
PGA Junior Southern California took a 7.5-4.5 over the JTNC on opening day, winning Foursomes, 3.4-2.5, and Four-Ball, 4-2. The Cup follows a format similar to the Ryder Cup and is a rare opportunity for the juniors to compete in match play.
Representing the JTNC were Ellie Bushnell, Asterisk Talley, Erica Villegas, Cathy Zhang, Curtis DaSilva, Chris Bettencourt, Edan Cui, Austin Wang, Brandon Torres, Hartej Grewal, Trenton Stuart and Ben Friedman.

After day one of the competition, it's the crew from SoCal who's in command.
PGA Junior Southern California took a 7.5-4.5 over the Junior Tour of Northern California Saturday at par-71 Poppy Hills in what was opening day of the 7th annual Challenge Cup. The annual event pits 12 of the best juniors (eight boys, four girls) against a dozen of NorCal's best juniors.
Along with winning 3.5-2.5 in Foursomes, PGA Junior SoCal won Four-Ball play, 4-2 backed by victories from the tandems of Jasmine Koo and Nikki Oh (2 and 1), Ashley Yun and Kylie Chong 3 and 2), Conner Williams and Ryan Abuan (3 and 2) and Kasper Verwers and Matt Robles (1-up).
The JTNC got Four-Ball wins from the teams of Edan Cui and Austin Wang (3 and 1) and Brandon Torres and Hartej Grewal (1-up).
Sunday's final round of play will consist of 12 Singles matches. The all-time Cup series is tied at three wins apiece. The Cup follows a format similar to the Ryder Cup and is a rare opportunity for the juniors to compete in match play.
