The NCGA's Tina Barker made birdie on the 18th hole to forge an 18-18 tie with the NCPGA.
Due to the tie, the NCGA will retain the Cup. Barker's heroics came just a day before she was to be enshrined in the NCGA Hall of Fame.
This biennial cup competition brings together the top twelve female competitors in the NCPGA/LPGA to compete against the NCGA competitors in a Solheim Cup-style format. The inaugural event began in 1997.
With their win due to the tie, the NCGA now leads in the Series, 20-6-1.
Team NCGA was represented by Lynne Cowan, Marianne Towersey, Kim Belliveau, Karen Garcia, Melissa Spencer, Shelly Haywood, Eden Anderson, Tina Barker, Xiaolong Zhong, Kristen Mulenburg, Debbie Robertson and Renata Young.
The NCPGA team was Pat Hurst, Denise Bondurant, Joanne Lee, Louise Hall, Ashley Wood, Katherine Marren, Petra Cole-Lempa, Staci Cortez-Patterson, Mia Torres, Lulu Huang and Jooae Ye and Shelley McGill-O'Keefe.

The NCGA holds a slim 9.5-8.5 lead after day one of the annual NorCal Women's Cup at Poppy Hills.
Matches were split into three different competitions--Four-Ball front 9, Four-Ball back 9 and Four-Ball 18. Each win is worth a point, with a tie being worth half a point.
Getting sweep wins for the NCGA were the tandems of Kim Belliveau/Kristen Mulenburg and Karen Garcia and Melissa Spencer.
The NCPGA squad of Shelley McGill-O'Keefe and Pat Hurst also swept their matches.
