Each year, the NCGA/WGANC Legacy Women’s Subcommittee presents
an award to the most improved junior girl.
Audrey Cormier, NCGA Tournament Official/WGANC Legacy Junior Girls and East Bay Coordinator, presented the award to Kaitlin Paredes on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at Tulare Golf Course. She was accompanied by her parents, Gabriel and Brenda Paredes, and her sister Samantha and brother Gabriel Paredes Jr.
Kaitlin is 17 years old and is a senior at Monache High School in
Porterville. She is a member of Youth on Course Central Valley
Clubhouse and participates on her high school golf team, practicing and
playing 3-4 times a week.
Her statistics show significant improvement; she began the year with an index of 29.6 on January 1, 2023, and lowered it to 11.4 by October 31, 2024, when the statistics were gathered. Upon graduation, she intends to attend Reedley College and later transfer to a Division 1 College. Her career goal is to become a teacher. We wish Kaitlin continued success in her golf and educational pursuits.
