Orinda resident Lauren Gebauer rolled to another win, capturing the annual WGANC Legacy Champ of Champs tournament at Pasadera Country Club.

A former walk-on at University of Notre Dame, Gebauer carded her second straight 2-under par 69 to come in at 138 and defeat runner-up Holly Bare by eight shots. Over her 36 holes, Gebauer posted six birdies.

Bare, who hails from Clovis, had back-to-back rounds of 73 to come in at 146. Third place finisher Lynne Cowan finished at 151 after a final round 75.

The Champion of Champions began as the 54-hole Champion of Champions in 1953. In 1997, it was separated into two championships –  The Champion of Champions and the separate 54-hole Stroke Play Championship. Eligibility is limited to WGANC Member Clubs’ Club Champions and Runners-up. It is an individual 36-hole stroke play event – flighted, with gross awards in each flight.
