2026 NorCal Player’s League
Get a team together and don’t miss any of the action.
One of the NCGA’s newer programs, NCGA Player’s League is open to every private, semi-private and public golf course within the NCGA region.
How’s it work?
Teams are comprised of seven players– six amateur members and one member from each club’s professional staff. Clubs are arranged in groups of three, four or five and play a series of home and away matches within their assigned group. Matches can be set by Handicap Index but are played at scratch, using a unique points system for scoring.
At the end of the regular season, group winners meet in the NCGA Player's League Finals, which for 2026will be held Nov. 19 on the new 18-hole course at Poppy Ridge.
Two teams from that event will then advance along with two clubs from the Southern California Player’s League to compete in the California League Championship at a course in Southern California.
Registration for the 2026NCGA Player's League season will open soon and close sometime towards the beginning of summer. So you still have some time to get your seven together.

What Members Are Saying
“Player's League gives us a chance to get out and play in a fun, competitive environment. We truly enjoy connecting with other clubs and players from across our region, building relationships and sharing great experiences on and off the course. We are already excited for next year and the opportunities it will bring! --Mark Sherman, Green Valley CC
“Almaden G&CC has played in the Player’s League for multiple years. The competition and format are great. The camaraderie among all the players is the best part of the league. One of the cool benefits is that it allows the better players from each club the opportunity to play against each other without the worry of having to give strokes. We look forward to playing next season.” - Jason Calvillo, Almaden GCC
