Club and Resort Business--
“The new 18-hole course, featuring advanced turf and improved walkability, offers a thrilling experience for all skill levels, alongside a renovated practice facility and a new 9-hole course.”

Golf Course Architecture—
“(Architect Jay) Blasi’s new routing shortens distances between greens and tees and allows for smoother transitions across the varying landscapes. Many bunkers are now located on hillsides and serve as transitions from one landscape to another. Blasi has designed them to match the shot being played, with a lower lip if a middle or long iron is needed and a higher lip for greenside hazards where wedges are used. Greens that are meant to be hit with a short iron are generally smaller and offer more movement, while greens that will likely receive a longer approach shot are bigger and have surrounding slopes that feed the ball towards the putting surface.”

Jason Deegan, Golf Pass—
“The grand opening of the new era of Poppy Ridge was a massive success for architect Jay Blasi and the NCGA. Jay opened up incredible vistas of the surrounding hillsides and vineyards of Livermore.”

Links Magazine—
“Poppy Ridge was completely reimagined to take advantage of the bold, rolling landscape and long-distance views. Key to the project was creating a venue that would challenge the world’s best golfers while being enjoyable for players of all abilities.”
Bill Sinn, NCGA Member--
“Beautiful and so playable. A completely new and different course. Well done NCGA!”
