Alta Sierra CC held off Glenn G&CC by one stroke to claim the title at the annual NCGA North Valley Zone Championship.
Alta Sierra CC, made up of teammates Brad Stewart, Brian Hixson, Bradley Spangler and Jessie Prout, carded a final round 10-under 134 at Del Monte GC to finish with a two-day total of 29-under 257 competing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Glenn G&CC made a run at it, carding a second round 129 to come in at 258. Third place went to Peach Tree G&CC at 268.
Both Alta Sierra CC and Glenn G&CC earned automatic spots into this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 24-25 at Bayonet/Black Horse GC in Seaside.

Alta Sierra CC is the team to catch after opening day of the annual NCGA North Valley Zone Championship.
Alta Sierra, made up of teammates Brad Stewart, Brian Hixson, Bradley Spangler and Jessie Prout, carded a first-round score of 19-under 123 Monday at Poppy Hills playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
In second place at 128 is Adams Springs GC. Glenn G&CC is in third place at 129.
Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 24-25 at Bayonet/Black Horse GC.
