Big Sur Flight

Gregory Garcia won the title in dramatic fashion, carding a net par on the first playoff hole (par-4 1st) to win the title. He'd defeat Joe Chen. Both players came in at 140 after regulation, with Garcia posting a 77 and Chen a 68.  Third place went to Derrick Franks at 142.

 

Golden Gate Flight

Randy Havens took the title, carding a final round 63 to come in at 135. Second place went to Tommy Gallardo at 137. Joe Jones was third at 145. 

Yosemite Flight 

Nick Yoo won the title, posting a final round 71 to come in with a two-day total of 4-under 138. Second place went to Stephen Pavlik at 140. Raymond Sarlatte was third at 142.

Big Sur Flight

Gregory Garcia of Stockton is the player to chase after day one, as Garcia came in with a first round score of 8-under 63. In a tie for second at 67 are Mike McCarthy and Richard Grabinski. Kurtis Bettencourt is alone in fourth at 70.

Golden Gate Flight

Concord resident John Vasquez took the first round lead, posting a 4-under par 67. Tied for second place are Kanchana Rock and Tommy Gallardo at 71. Randy Havens is alone in fourth place at 72.

Yosemite Flight

Stephen Pavlik of nearby Carmel Valley took the lead, carding a 7-under 64. N.H. Yoo is in second place at 67. Greg McIntoshis third at 68.

First played in 1994, the NCGA Net Amateur Championship is an individual handicap event for NCGA members of regular clubs. It is contested in three flights divided by handicap index. The championship rotates every year between Poppy Hills GC and Poppy Ridge GC.
