NCGA Member Outings: Heading to Southern California

While we love Northern California, when it comes to golf on the California coast in the summer, there's always a big chance of some overcast skies or fog. After all, there's a reason we call it No-Sky July and Fog-ust, a play on August.

With that in mind, you may ask: Are there any NCGA Member Outings that head for the sunnier skies of Southern California during the summer months?

As a matter of fact, there are. Every year, NCGA Member Outings makes at least one sojourn to the sun and fun in Southern California.

Just recently, NCGA Member Outings visited the SanDiego area. There, members got in three rounds of golf split between Aviara Golf Club, The Grand Golf Club and the South Course at Torrey Pines. As some may know, just getting a tee time on the South Course at Torrey Pines can be difficult. The course annually hosts the PGA Tour Sentry Championship and has also twice hosted the U.S. Open.

As per accommodations, members stayed at the Hyatt Regency in La Jolla.

NCGA Member Outings also hosted a San Diego Getaway trip in 2025. So keep your eyes open for yet another return in 2027!
