Junior Tour of Northern California Crowns Winners During Spring Series IV Championship at Bay View Golf Course.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (April 8, 2025) – The Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) crowned champions during the Spring Series IV Championship at Bay View Golf Club.
Alexander Thu and Victoria Cui both win their respective divisions during play of the Spring Series IV Championship at Bay View Golf Club in Milpitas.
In the Girls’ Championship, Victoria Cui claimed top spot on the podium with a seven shot victory, making this her third win of the 2024-2025 JTNC season. Facing a difficult golf course layout with several elevated green complexes, Victoria would go on to card rounds of 72-70 that included 5 birdies throughout 36-holes. Victoria had a near perfect performance during round one where she carded sixteen pars, one birdie, and one bogey that put her at the top of the leaderboard. Round two saw her card a 2-under 70, with her best golf coming during a stretch of three holes where she picked up three birdies in a row all but sealing her victory at the top. Victoria is currently ranked 3rd on the Girls JTNC Player of the Year Standings with 1,186 points.
Cathy Zhang earned an honorable runners-up medal after rounds of 77-72 to end at 149, Cathy carded four birdies throughout the weekend and is now ranked 6th on the JTNC Girls Player of the Year Standings. Third place was awarded to Kelly Zhang, shooting rounds of 76-76 to finish at 8-over par 152. Spring Series IV is Kelly's first medal of the 2024-2025 JTNC season! Fourth place ended in a tie between Madalynn Lee and Emma wang as the pair were level 10-over par 154, Madalynn had rounds of 79-75 while Emma turned in rounds of 80-74.
In the Boys Championship flight, Alexander Thu makes it his first win on the Junior Tour this season forcing a playoff versus Richard Ding and eventually winning top honors in the Boys division. Alexander carded rounds of 69-72 while picking up an outstanding 11 pars. It was clear that Alexander was on a mission to come back as he made the turn onto the final nine holes, going on to card a 4-under 32 and propelling him up the leaderboard to catch Ding at 141. Eventually, Thu forced a sudden-death playoff with Ding where he came out victorious after one hole. Thu makes it six top-5 finishes for the 2024-2025 season, ranking him as the 2nd best player on the Junior Tour!
Subsequently, second place went to Richard Ding with rounds of 71-70, finishing with a final tally of 3-under par 141 for the tournament. Richard carded a total of nine birdies and is currently ranked as the 5th best Boy on the JTNC Player of the Year Standings with 675 points. Third place honors went to Ayden Fynaut at even par 144, the talent from Fresno picked a total of seven birdies throughout 36-holes. Ayden is now ranked 3rd on the Boys Player of the Year Standings with 950 points as he looks to repeat last season’s Player of the Year honors. Fourth place ended in a tie between Alex Chou and Michael Shepherd with the pair level at 5-over par 149.
