Pairings/Results

A pair of familiar faces were among those advancing through Monday's U.S. Open local qualifier at Fountaingrove GC in Santa Rosa.

Former PGA Tour member and 2004 NCGA Player of the Year Spencer Levin (pictured below) and former NCGA Amateur champ Isaiah Salinda were among the five players advancing to U.S. Open Final qualifying.

Levin, who still holds the NCGA record for most points in a season (2,770), was medalist with a score of 3-under 69. Salinda, who played collegiately at Stanford and is a former winner of the Pacific Coast Amateur, finished fifth at 74 and moved on after a playoff.

The three other players advancing were amateur Mitchell Hoey (70) and pros Steve Watanabe Jr. (71) and Alex Franklin (72).
