The Healdsburg team (seen above) rolled to a win at the annual PWGA Legacy Team Championship at Eagle Springs GC.

Healdsburg, made up of teammates Kay Robinson, Georgianne Boissier, Maureen Martin and Julie Jennaro, shot a second round 8-under 136 to come in with a winning score of 22-under 266 playing in a format that takes the two best scores of a four-person team.

Second place went to LPGA Amateurs at 272 after a second round 133. Third place was captured by Eagle Springs 2 at 273.

Indian Creek is the team to chase after opening day of the annual PWGA Legacy Team Play Championship at Eagle Springs.

The Indian Creek squad--made up of teammates Pat Meloney, Susan Reaves, Cindy Merrall and Nikki Witt--shot a score of 15-under 129 in the two-best-ball format.

Eagle Springs 1 and Dry Creek 2 are tied for second at 133.

 

The Team Play Championship began in 1969.  The Championship consists of area clubs competing in a team format in their local area 18-hole qualifier, the top teams move on to the final round.  The number of teams moving on to the final round is dependent on the number of teams competing in each area.  A maximum of 32 clubs compete in the final 36-hole – 2-day tournament.  For more information please contact your Club’s NCGA Ambassador (PWGA Rep) or your Area Chair.  Award luncheon follows the second round of play.
