Monterey Bay GC took the title, carding a final-round 13-under 131 at Del Monte GC to come in at 25-under 261 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
The Del Monte GC squad is comprised of teammates Larry Bohn, Robert Sutcliffe, Adam Trosky and Mark Thompson.
Three teams--Laguna Seca GR, Corral de Tierra CC and Poppy Hills Club 2--finished tied for second at 270. In a card-off, second place was awarded to Laguna Seca, who had made the biggest final-round move with a 13-under 131.
Monterey Bay GC and Laguna Seca each earned spots into this year's NCGA Zone Championship, slated for Aug. 22-23 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.

Spring Hills GC is the team to chase after day one of the annual NCGA South Coast Zone Championship.
The Spring Hills squad, made up of teammates Bobby Powers, Andrew Rogers, Jeff Rogers and Greg Azevedo, posted a score of 13-under 129 Monday at Poppy Hills playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Monterey Bay GC is alone in third place at 128. San Luis Obispo G&CC is in third place at 133.
Tuesday's second round will see play shift over to par-72 Del Monte GC. Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 22-23 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.
Two former NCGA presidents---Gail Rogers and Vaughn Kezirian--competed for the Poppy Hills teams.
