Antelope Greens GC went wire-to-wire at the annual NCGA East Sacramento Zone Championship.

The Antelope Greens GC squad, made up of teammates Peter Ames, Michael Williams, Jason Herrera and Scott Bubany, carded a final-round 6-under 138 Tuesday at Del Monte GC in Monterey to finish at 18-under 268 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.

Cold Springs G&CC finished second at 272 after a final-round 134. North Ridge CC and Turkey Creek GC tied for third at 274.

Both Antelope Greens GC and Cold Springs G&CC earned automatic spots into this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 22-23 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.

Antelope Greens GC is in first place after day one of the annual NCGA East Sacramento Zone Championship.

The Antelope Greens squad, made up of teammates Peter Ames, Michael Williams, Jason Herrera and Scott Bubany, carded a first-round score of 12-under 130 Monday at Poppy Hills playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.

Turkey Creek GC is alone in second place at 132. Ridge GC is in third place at 134.

Tuesday's second round will see play shift over to par-72 Del Monte GC in Monterey.

Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 22-23 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.
