Hanna-Wehrman Cup

Team NCGA went on to notch another win, defeating the NCPGA, 24-12. 

Already holding a six-point lead, the NCGA would win in Singles play, 11-5. Winners for the NCGA were Michael Jura (4 and 3), Matt Cohn (3 and 2), Kevin Cook (4 and 3), Keith Okasaki (2-up), Brett Viboch (4 and 2)  and Nick Moore (1-up).  

NCPGA Singles winners were Norm Blanco (2 and 1) and Brad Marek (3 and 2). 

On opening day, the two teams finished in a 5-5 tie in Foursomes. But the NCGA later went on to grab a commanding 13-7 lead thanks to an 8-2 victory in Four-Ball.

The NCGA was represented by Juan Gonzalez, Andrew Moren, Michael Jura, Matt Cohn, Kevin Cook, Keith Okasaki, Rick Reinsberg, Nick Moore, Garett Wagner and Brett Viboch.

Team NCPGA was Joseph Dolby, Norm Blanco, Don Winter, David Putney, Daniel Stewart, Haeyoung Lee, Sam Frick, Nathan McMullen, Rodney Wilson and Brad Marek.

The NCGA has now won the Hanna-Wehrman Cup 13 of the last 15 years. The NCGA leads in the overall Hanna-Wehrman Cup series, 26-19-10.

The NCGA didn't get the win, settling for a 21-21 tie. But they still retained the Cup., 

A day after finishing in a 7-7 tie in Four-Ball, the NCGA again tied in Singles play, this time 14-14. 

Notching wins for the NCGA Corey West (4 and 3), Lawrence O'Neill (2 and 1), Dan Young (8 and 7), Jim Williams (4 and 3), Chris Miller (2 and 1), Rich Gleghorn (3 and 2) and Mark Morgan (2-up). NCPGA wins came from Shawn McEntee (1-up), Mike Paul (1-up), Doug Hanson (3 and 1), Scott Hoyt (6 and 4), Dana Banke (1-up), Chris Borrego (1-up) and David Carr (3 and 2). 

Representing the NCGA were Lawrence O'Neill, Corey West, Daniel O'Connor, Dan Young, Joey Ferrari, Jim Williams, Chris Miller, Tony Ralph, Rich Gleghorn, Jim Knoll, Mark Morgan, Mike Staskus, Todd Barsotti and Jeff Wilson.

The NCPGA was represented by Paul Nolen, Kelly Runkle, Willie Toney, Shawn McEntee, Mike Paul, Don Thames, Mike Cook, Doug Hanson, Bob McGrath, Scott Hoyt, Dana Banke, Dave DeLong, Chris Borrego and David Carr.  

The Staeder-Jetter Cup has been won by the NCGA each of the last four years. The NCGA leads in the overall Staedler-Jetter Cup series, 17-10-4.

Hanna-Wehrman Cup

Following a morning split that ended in a 5-5 tie in Foursomes, the NCGA went on to grab a commanding 13-7 lead thanks to an 8-2 victory in Four-Ball.

In what was nearly a Four-Ball sweep, the NCGA got wins from the teams of Rick Reinsberg and Brett Viboc (2 and 1), Michael Jura and Kevin Cook (4 and 3), Nick Moore and Matt Cohn (1-up) and Andrew Moren and Garett Wagner (2 and 1). Wagner is the NCGA's Player of the Year.

The lone NCPGA Four-Ball win came from the tandem of David Putney and Nathan McMullen (1-up).

Singles play will consist of 10 matches. 

The NCGA has won the Hanna-Werhman Cup 12 of the last 14 years. The NCGA leads in the overall Hanna-Wehrman Cup series, 25-19-10

Staedler-Jetter Cup 

The NCGA and NCPGA will head into Singles play all knotted at 7 points apiece.

In Monday's Four-Ball play, the two squads each won three matches and shared a tie. Getting wins for the NCGA were the tandems of Dan Young and Tony Ralph (2 and 1), Mark Morgan and Lawrence O'Neill (1-up ) and Rich Gleghorn and Jim Williams (1-up) in Super Senior play. Getting wins for the NCPGA were the teams of Mike Cook and Dave DeLong (1-up), David Carr and Kelly Runkle (3 and 1) and Don Thames and Scott Hoyt (3 and 2).

Singles play will consist of 14 matches.
