If Pebble Beach is the Greatest Meeting of Land and Sea, then perhaps Spyglass Hill should be dubbed the Greatest Meeting of Sand and Trees.

Designed by World Golf Hall of Fame and NCGA Hall of Fame golf course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and opened in 1966, Spyglass Hill winds through majestic dunes near the shores of the Pacific before traversing through the serenity of the Del Monte Forest.

Built in part by the NCGA, the name of the course was inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s masterpiece, Treasure Island. Bob Hanna, the NCGA’s first executive director, even went so far as to name most of the holes after the novel’s characters and places.

An annual co-host of the annual PGA Tour Signature Event AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Spyglass Hill’s championship pedigree also includes the 1999 and 2018 U.S. Amateur Championships and the prestigious NCGA Amateur Championship. In 2030, the course will host the U.S. Senior Open and U.S. Senior Women’s Opens.

Best of all, as an NCGA member you can play Spyglass Hill at a special rate as part of your Member Benefits.
