Each year the NCGA /WGANC Legacy Women’s Subcommittee presents an award to the most improved junior girl.
Audrey Cormier, NCGA Tournament Official/WGANC Legacy Junior Girls and East Bay Coordinator, presented the award to Amelia Choi on Saturday March 9 at Poppy Ridge Golf Course.
Amelia is 12 years old and attends St. Joseph School in Fremont. Her statistics are impressive. She began the year with an index of 29.7 on Jan. 1 2023 and lowered it to 11.3 by Oct. 31 2024 when the statistics are gathered.
She is a member of the Santa Teresa Junior Golf Club and volunteers for a variety of causes related to golf, including the Youth on Course Drive Club. She also volunteered on the driving range at the 78th US Women’s Open at Pebble Beach last June. When she’s not practicing or playing golf Amelia enjoys piano, writing and traveling. We wish Amelia continued success on her golf journey.
