The NCPGA took home the biennial Hanna-Wehrman Cup, defeating the NCGA, 36.5-23.5, on Tuesday at Poppy Hills.
A day after taking a commanding 18.5-11.5 lead in Foursomes and Four-Ball play, the NCPGA outscored their amateur counterparts, 18-12 in Singles play. The Singles play was broken down into Front-9, Back-9 and overall 18, each third being worth one point.
For the NCPGA, it was their first Cup win since 2019. The NCGA has won the Hanna-Wehrman Cup 13 of the last 16. years.
The NCGA leads in the overall Hanna-Wehrman Cup series, 26-20-10.
Team NCGA was Matt Cohn, Mikey Burkland, Nick Randazzo, Garett Wagner, Mike Perchak, Jerry Ledzinski, Jeremy Gearhart, Ryan Sloane, Chris Marin and AJ Fitzgerald. Captain was Ryan Gregg.
The NCPGA was represented by Tom Johnson, Brad Marek, David Putney, Ryan Williams, Scott DeBorba, Josh Kelley, Chris Ingram, Raymond Otis, TJ Duncan, Andrew Larkin. Captain was Paul Wilcox.

The NCPGA is in great shape to win the Hanna-Wehrman Cup, vaulting to a commanding 18.5-11.5 lead in Monday's 36-hole opener.
It was in the morning Foursome rounds that the NCPGA built its cushion, as they'd go on to outscore the NCGA, 11-4. Scores were based on Foursomes Front 9, Foursomes Back 9 and Foursomes 18.
The NCPGA got sweep wins from Ryan Williams and David Putney, Andrew Larkin and Brad Marek and Scott de Borba and Tom Johnson. Tallying 2.5 points for the NCGA was the tandem of Garett Wagner and Jeremy Gearhart.
In the afternoon Four-Ball matches, the two teams finished tied, 7.5-7.5.
A win is worth one point, with a tie worth half a point.
The NCGA has won the Hanna-Wehrman Cup 13 of the last 15 years. The NCGA leads in the overall Hanna-Wehrman Cup series, 26-19-10.
