April 24, 2026 / by Jerry Stewart
Rory McIlroy wasn’t the only big winner during the recent Masters Week. So too were juniors
The 2026 NCGA Foundation Online Auction, which supports the NCGA Foundation and was held during Masters Week, raised $111,000 —exceeding targets and all of which will go towards growing the game, expanding opportunity and changing lives as part of the Foundation’s Golf with a Purpose mission. As a bonus, the NCGA is matching the $111,000!
Highlights of the auction were:
- Stay-and-play packages at premier venues including Pebble Beach Golf Links and Bandon Dunes
- Golf rounds at exclusive, private courses including Mayacama Golf Club and Monterey Peninsula Country Club
- A seven-day luxury trip to Italy’s Tuscany region
- A personalized voice message from CBS Sports legend Jim Nantz
- Exclusive full-course buyouts of award-winning NCGA member courses Poppy Hills and Poppy Ridge
“On behalf of the NCGA Foundation's Board of Directors, I wish to express a warm ‘Thank You!’ to NCGA members and supporters who helped make our inaugural Masters Week Auction such a great success,” NCGA Foundation Chairperson Edward Quinn said. “This outcome would not have been even remotely possible without the generous support we received from the many organizations and individuals who donated the outstanding auction items, just a few of which are mentioned above. And an equally big ‘Thank You!’ to those who participated enthusiastically as bidders.”
If you missed out on this year’s auction, don’t fret—information on the 2027 NCGA Foundation Online Auction will be coming soon!
The new NCGA Foundation is using golf as a powerful force for good—supporting people, programs and preservation across Northern California through philanthropy, partnerships and community investment. The auction, which was also part of the NCGA’s 125th anniversary celebration, was a fundraiser for the Foundation.
The NCGA originally established its Foundation more than 35 years ago to support and grow the game of golf, including launching and expanding Youth on Course. This year, the NCGA created a new NCGA Foundation dedicated to using golf as a unifying force for good—enriching society through the game’s unique values.
