Stevenson of Pebble Beach and Drue Sanchez of De La Salle High helped make it a NorCal sweep at the annual CIF Boys' State Championship at par-71 San Gabriel CC.
Stevenson became just the third team to repeat as champion, carding a team score of 1-over 356 (best-five-out-of-six) to win the team crown by 12 shots over runner-up De La Salle. Other back-to-back champions since 2005 are Westlake High (2014 and 2015) and De La Salle (2022-2023).
For Stevenson, it marked their third State title, the other coming in 2013.
The Pirates were led by a pair of 69's by Griffin Didier and Zachary Hawkins and a 70 from Dylan Hirst. Other Stevenson scores were Calvin Etcheverry (72), Ethan Merrick (76) and William Keszler (82).
De La Salle finished second at 13-over 368. Los Alamitos was third at 373. Jesuit High, the third NorCal representative, took sixth at 392.
Leading the De La Salle charge was Sanchez, who put up a solid 5-under 65 to claim the Individual title. A junior, Sanchez would card eight birdies to go against three bogeys.
Second place in the Individual championship went to Levi Reilly of Los Alamitos at 68.
