Whitney Oaks CC and Woodbridge G&CC will look to end their 2025 on the ultimate high note.
Both clubs won their respective flights in the 2025 Northern California Players League Championship held at Poppy Ridge on Thursday afternoon.
The event uses a format that incorporates Stableford scoring, match play and stroke play. Teams can also have a PGA Teaching Professional play as long as they are affiliated with their respective club.
In the Hills flight, Whitney Oaks had total team score of 37 points which was seven clear of second place Green Valley CC.
Whitney Oaks were led by the team of Scott Gordon, Scott Alward, John Byers, Jason Herrera, Scott Bubany, Rocklin Shaw and Donnie Baucom.
In the Ridge Flight, it was a thrilling finish as Whitney Oaks Golf and Country Club finished at 37 points which was one clear of Sunnyside Country Club.
Woodbridge G&CC consisted the team of PGA Teaching Professional Ryan Williams, Tony Verna, Ross Vilinskas, Danny Miladinovich, Jason Reich, AJ Hohn and Kevin Wolf.
The California Players League Championship will feature the two best Northern California clubs against Southern California clubs. The championship will take place on Monday December 15 at Poppy Hills.
