Gold Hills Mens Club is in the lead after opening day of this week's annual NCGA North Zone Championship.
Gold Hills, comprised of teammates Cody Armintrout, Alex Bagnaschi, Logan Miller and Robert Ryness, carded an opening round 11-under 133 Monday at Del Monte GC playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Beau Pre GC is in second place at 134. Anderson Tucker Oaks GC is in third place at 135.
Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 25-26 at Bayonet/Black Horse GC.
Tuesday's final round will be held at par-71 Poppy Hills.
