Big Sur Flight

Oroville's Joey Lauer came up big when it mattered. Lauer birdied the 15th and 16th holes in succession on his way to a final round 65 and one-shot win over Nick Hall in the Big Sur Flight.
Lauer finished with a two-day total of 6-under 136. Hall placed second at 137 after a final round 70.
Third place went to Yoshinari Yoshikawa at 138 after a final round 65.
Golden Gate Flight

Kyle Verle of Elk Grove took home the title, carding a second round 65 to come in at 9-under 133. It was the first NCGA title for Verle.
Michael Sun on Saratoga was second at 140 after a second round 69. Third place went to Ken Heinly at 141.

Yosemite Flight

Matt Brody of Carmel shot a final round score of 66 to come in at 9-under 133 for a two-shot victory.
Second place was a tie between James Silva (65-70) and Al Osha (72-63) at 135. Osha was awarded second place in a card-off (lower round for the day).
Oct. 6, 2025- First Round
The 32nd NCGA Net Amateur Championship started on Monday at Poppy Hills.
Ninety-seven players have been split into three divisions as they will look to win an NCGA title this week.
Big Sur Division
San Luis Obispo native Nick Hall posted a 4-under 67 to carry a one shot lead. San Francisco native Arron Goodin shot a 68. Eric Ngo who won the Golden Gate division title last year is looking to go back-to-back.
He posted an even par 71 heading into the final round.
Golden Gate Division
Elk Grove native Kyle Verle shot a 3-under 68 on Monday morning. He will have a one shot lead over Ken Heinly who shot a 69.
Yosemite Division
Fresno native James Silva posted a stellar 6-under 65 to carry a two-shot lead over Matt Brody.
