The eagle landed for Corral de Tierra Country Club at the annual NCGA South Coast Zone Championship.
Anthony Valdez made an eagle on the par-5 18th, helping Corral de Tierra and teammates Troy Armstrong, Dave Anderson and Michael Georgariou come in with a final round score of 15-under 127. They'd go on to win the title with a two-day total of 25-under 261 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Second place went to Bayonet/Black Horse GC at 263 following a final round 127.
Both teams advanced to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 25-26 at Bayonet/Black Horse GC.

Corral de Tierra CC is the team to catch after day one of the annual NCGA South Coast Zone Championship.
Corral de Tierra CC, made up of teammates Troy Armstrong, Anthony Valdez, Dave Anderson and Michael Georgariou, carded an opening round 10-under 134 Monday at Del Monte GC playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Both Bayonet/Black Horse GC and King City GC are tied for second at 136.
Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 25-26 at Bayonet/Black Horse GC.
Tuesday's final round will see play shift over to par-71 Poppy Hills.
