A pair of champions were crowned in the 2025 CIF/NCGA NorCal High School Girls' Golf Championships at Berkeley Country Club.
Stevenson School of Pebble Beach and Lily Peng of Cardnolet High School in Concord will leave the East Bay as NorCal Champions.
The Pirates added to their storied history as they won their first NorCal title in school history. They have four CCS titles but never could call themselves best in the region until now.
They finished at 20-over 380 which was twenty shots clear of Granite Bay High School who finished at 41-over 401.
The Pirates were led by Lucinda Wu who posted a 2-over 74 followed by Isabella Sun with a 75. Other scores include Scotts Valley native Ashley Gettleman (76), Allison Chan, (77) and Coco He (78).
The Granite Bay Grizzly Bears were led by Serene Kim who shot a 1-over 73 and Hailey Peterson who shot a 2-over 74.
Getting the last automatic spot into the State Championship are the Carondelet High Cougars who finished at 50-over 410.
Valley Christian who were looking to win their fourth NorCal title in five years just missed out on advancing to the State Championship by one shot. The Warriors finished at 51-over 411.
Stevenson, Granite Bay and Carondelet advanced to the State Championship which will take place on Wednesday Nov. 19 at Poppy Hills.
Peng who is in her junior year shot a 4-under 68. The UCLA commit had six birdies on her round. Erin Lee of Dougherty Valley finished in second place at 3-under par 69.
Nine players who are not on qualifying teams will also have tee times in the Del Monte Forest for a state championship. Joining Baker and Lee are Victoria Cui of Crystal Springs Uplands (70), Stevie Umali of St. Ignatius (71), Abigail Lin of Vista Del Lago (72), Addison Claire Lee of Monte Vista High- Cupertino (74), Candy Liu of Santa Catalina,(74) Kelley O'Keefe of Lodi, (75), Cindy Yuan of The Athenian School, (75) and Melody Liu of Monte Vista High-Cupertino (75).
