Somewhere, even Willie Nelson tipped his hat.
On the Road Again GC carded a final round 12-under 132 Tuesday on Bayonet GC in Seaside, coming from two strokes back to snatch the title away from defending champion Dot Squad.
In what became a thriller, On the Road Again GC, made up of teammates Rick Doerr, Gregory Garcia, Mandale Johnson and Mike Monroe, birdied three of their final holes to finish with a two-day total of 28-under 260 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
The birdies came in handy, as they'd help On the Road Again GC knock off Dot Squad by three shots. Dot Squad, made made up of teammates Joseph Francis, Mike Elgin, Chris Perry and Lexi Perry, shot a final round 137 to finish at 263. On the 17th and 18th holes Dot Squad posted bogeys.
Third place went to San Jose MAGA (Mexican American Golf Association) at 271 following a final round 135.

The Dot Squad is at again, and this time there is history riding on it.
The defending champion Dot Squad team--made up of teammates Joseph Francis, Mike Elgin, Chris Perry and Lexi Perry--took the lead in this year's championship on Monday, firing an 18-under 126 on Black Horse GC playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Should they hold on to win the title, Dot Squad would become the first team in the event's 43-year history to ever repeat as champion. The title would also be Dot Squad's record fourth crown. They also won in 2022 and 2006.
On the Road GC is their closest pursuer, alone in second place at 16-under after a 128. Three teams are at 134.
Tuesday's final round will be held on Bayonet GC.
