Stevenson School and De La Salle's Josh Kim emerged as the big winners at Monday's annual CIF/NCGA NorCal Boys' High School Championships at par-72 Berkeley Country Club.

Stevenson picked up its sixth total NorCal team title but also its first since 2000 after finishing with a team total (best five-out-of-six) of 11-over 371.

Pacing the Pirates were Adam Rohizam (70) and Steven Lai (74). Other Stevenson scores were Luke Brandler (75), Calvin Etcheverry (75), Johshveer Chadha (77) and Andrew Doll (79).

Second place was a tie between two-time defending champion De La Salle and Crystal Springs Uplands, with each team coming in at 375. De La Salle was led by Kim, who shot a medalist-earning 68, and Jaden Dumdumaya and Colin Keith, who each shot 74. Crystal Springs Uplands got a 72 by Henry Chen and a 74 by Phillip Hu.

Kim had an all-around solid day, carding four birdies to go against just one bogey. Three players--Ethan Lien of Monta Vista, Kailer Stone of Alameda and Chase Yukawa of Woodcreek--all finished T-2 at 69.

Also advancing to State were the top nine individuals not on a qualifying team: Ben Friedman of Tamalpais (70), Leo McDonough of Campolindo (72), James Lee of Nueva (72), Liam Eyer of Santa Teresa (73), Sebi Aliaga of Bellarmine (73), Hayden Hill of Tamalpais (73), Jack Pohlman of San Ramon Valley (73), Lien, Stone and Yukawa.

This year's State finals will be held May 29 at San Gabriel CC in San Gabriel.
