Lauren Gebauer

Orinda resident Lauren Gebauer, who was featured in the Summer issue of the award-winning NCGA Golf Magazine, ran away with the title.

Gebauer shot rounds of 72-77 to come in at 5-over 149, defeating runner-up Karen Garcia by six shots. In the first round Gebauer was steady, carding two birdies to go against two bogeys.

Garcia, winner of the 2015 U.S. Senior Women's Amateur, had rounds of 79-76. Third place went to Krysta Wylder, who defeated Deborah Robertson in a card-off after both players finished regulation tied at 156.

Gebauer is featured in the Murphy's Law column of the Summer NCGA Golf magazine. She and partner Tina Barker were the oldest contestants at this year's U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship.
