Stanford University GC took the title at the annual San Francisco Bay Zone Championship, defeating Gleneagles GC in a card-off after both teams finished regulation tied at 21-under 263. 

The Stanford University GC squad was made up of teammates Jim Cowie, Thomas Keelin, Paul Hegarty and Richard Strock, had a final round score of 13-under 129. 

The Gleneagles GC squad, made up of teammates John Jones, Chris Brennan, Hem Singh and Christopher Weber, shot 135 in the finale.

Both Gleneagles GC and Stanford University GC advanced to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 21-22 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.

Palo Alto GC and Lincoln Park both came in at 264, just a shot behind the leaders.

Gleneagles GC is the team to chase after round one of the annual NCGA San Francisco Bay Zone Championship.

The Gleneagles GC squad, made up of teammates John Jones, Chris Brennan, Hem Singh and Christopher Weber, posted an opening score of 14-under 128 Monday at Poppy Hills playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.

In second place at 131 is Palo Alto GC. Mill Valley GC is in third place at 133.

Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 21-22 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.
