Claremont CC made it a wire-to-wire win at the annual NCGA Northeast Bay Zone Championship at Poppy Hills.
The Claremont squad, made up of teammates Vern Padgett, Jeff Mitchell, Greg Heywood and Randy Jones, shot a final round score of 8-under 134 to come in at 24-under 260 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Placing second at 263 after a final round 136 was Vallejo GC. Third place went to Green Valley CC at 264.
Both Claremont CC and Vallejo GC earned automatic spots into this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug, 21-22 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.

Claremont CC took the lead after day one of the annual NCGA Northeast Bay Zone Championship at Poppy Hills.
The Claremont CC squad, made up of teammates Vern Padgett, Jeff Mitchell, Greg Heywood and Randy Jones, posted an opening score of 16-under 126 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
In second place at 132 is Oakhurst CC. Berkeley CC and Diablo Hills GC are tied for third at 133.
Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 21-22 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.
