Modesto GC went wire-to-wire to capture the title at the annual NCGA Four-Ball Net Championship at Poppy Hills.
The Modesto team, made up of Brandon Williams and Frank Madrigal, posted its second straight score of 10-under 61 to come in at 122, good enough for a seven-shot over co-runners-up Wildhawk Players Association and Buckingham G&CC.
Wildhawk Players Association and Buckingham G&CC both came in at 129 after final rounds of 61 and 64, respectively.

Modesto GC is on top of the leaderboard after day one of the annual NCGA Four-Ball Net Championship, but there's still another round to go.
The Modesto GC team, made up of Brandon Williams and Frank Madrigal, posted a score of 10-under 61 in Monday's opener at Poppy Hills. The two penciled in seven birdies and two eagles, their only hiccup being a bogey on the 14th.
Alone in second place at 62 is San Luis Obispo G&CC (Rigo Pena-Rankin and Tom Tesoriero). Saratoga CC (Todd McNair and Kent Squarcia) is alone in third place at 63.
Kevin Murphy (below) of Tahoe Donner GC had the hot hand, posting a net score of 2 for the 1st and 2nd holes. Murphy eagled No.1 and aced No.2 while also getting a stroke on each.
