Manteca GC went wire-to-wire to win the title at the annual NCGA Central Valley Zone Championship.
The Manteca GC squad, made up of teammates Michael Culy, Michael Stevenson, Don Claus and Joaquin Guzman, carded a final round 10-under 132 to come in at 261, defeating runner-up Merced G&CC by four strokes in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Merced G&CC finished at 265 following a final round 135. Del Rio G&CC placed third at 267.
Both Manteca GC and Merced G&CC earned spots into this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 21-22 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.

Manteca GC and Merced G&CC are the teams to chase after day one of the annual NCGA Central Valley Zone Championship at Poppy Hills.
The Manteca GC squad, made up of teammates Michael Culy, Michael Stevenson, Don Claus and Joaquin Guzman, posted a leading score of 13-under 129 playing in a format that takes the two best net scores of a four-person team.
Merced G&CC is only a shot behind after an opening 130. Tracy G&CC is in third at 131.
Only the two low teams will advance to this year's NCGA Zone Championship, set for Aug. 21-22 at Poppy Hills and Spyglass Hill.
