The team of Shawn White and Costa Tzikas had another sensational day, carding a second round 10-under 61 to come in at 22-under 120 for a six-shot victory over the field. In Monday's opener, the two Lincoln residents shot 59 on the way to their first NCGA title.
“It was an incredible win, but could not have closed it out playing left-handed," Tzikas said. "Our special thanks to the official who gave me proper instruction on where to take my drop on the 4th hole. It was the momentum we needed to push through the final round."
Second place went to the team of Greg Gaunt and David Burroughs at 126 after a final round 64. The team of Marc Engellenner and Russell Brackett was third at 127.
Phil Naylor and Daniel Stephenson made a clutch eagle on the closing par-5 18th to win by two strokes over the teams of Rich Estep and Michael Lincoln and Mark Bagnola and Wade Barnett. Naylor and Stephenson came in at 15-under 127 after a final round 64.
The team of Mike McCarthy and Scott Hodges shot a final round 61 to come in at 19-under 123 for a two-shot win over the team of Ryan and David Griffiths. The Griffiths, a father-son duo, had a final round 64. Third place went to the team of Dan Robison and Nick Watts at 126.

The team of Costa Tzikas and Shawn White caught fire, taking the first round lead with a stellar 12-under 59. The teams of Chase Newman and John Goldstein and Greg Gaunt and David Burroughs are tied for second at 62.
The teams of Walter Cummings and Adam MacDonald and Phil Naylor and Daniel Stephenson are tied for the lead after both opened with identical scores of 8-under 63.
The tandem of David and Ryan Griffiths grabbed the lead with a score of 10-under 61. In second place at 62 is the team of Scott Hodges and Mike McCarthy.
